Schools in Bay Minette, part of the Baldwin County School System, are SACS accredited and offer a wealth of extracurricular activities and educational opportunities. The schools are equipped with eMINTS and AMSTI classrooms, participate in the Alabama Reading Initiative, Pre-K classes, and many offer 21st Century Community Learning Centers for afterschool and the summer season.
The North Baldwin Coalition for Excellence in Education foundation works with all eight schools to provide additional resources and enrichment opportunities for students and faculty, as well as annual Teacher Grant allotments. In addition, the education foundation sponsors more than a dozen summer camps for children ranging from conservation and engineering to sewing and cooking.
Coastal Alabama Community College, formerly known as Faulkner State, is located within the city limits and offers more than 100 programs of study, as well as top-notch athletics. Huntingdon College is located here, offering an Adult Education Completion Program. Within an hour’s drive to Mobile or Pensacola are multiple four-year universities and colleges including the University of South Alabama.
