Municipal Pool Complex

Bay Minette City Pool will close at 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, in order to host a swim meet. The pool will reopen Wednesday at its regular time. 
******The pool will be closed all day July 13 as the Junior Champs tournament will be held here.******

Hours of Operation: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday*; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. The pool will open Saturday, May 25, for the 2019 season.

Cost: $8 daily admission rate (Children 2-years and younger admitted free). *Special rate: $5 after 5 p.m. every Monday (excluding holidays). The City reserves the right to close to the pool due to the inclement weather.

The Bay Minette Muncipal Pool Complex is at 1300 Bradley Avenue, located at the intersection of East 12th Street. ‚Äč The municipal facility includes two pools and multiple slides and a diving board. The smaller pool features a zero entry, which makes it wheelchair accessible. Also located at the pool complex are multiple tennis courts, basketball courts, a walking path and universal playground, which are free and open to the public. 

The Bay Minette Municipal Pool will open May 25 and there will be some new faces heading up the amenity. The pool will now fall under the city’s Recreation Department and Rena Williams will oversee the operation, along with assistance from managers Kristy Weatherford and Emily Malone.  

SWIM LESSONS: Bay Minette Municipal Pool will offer two sessions of swim lessons this summer for ages 5-years and older. The sessions will take place Monday through Thursday, June 10-20 and July 8-18. All classes will be held 9 to 9:50 a.m. The fee is $55 for members and $60 for non-members. There will be a discount available for additional children from the same family. To sign up, call the Municipal Pool office at 937-1367. Private lessons are also available.

Tiger Sharks Swim Team 

The Tiger Sharks, Bay Minette Swim Team, is open to children ages 5- to 18-years old. 

Registration is $110 which includes a team swim cap and shirt. There is a $10 discount for each additional child in the same family.

No previous experience is required, and swimmers do not have to be a member of the Bay Minette Municipal Pool to participate. 

Practice sessions are typically held Monday through Thursdays and will take place 8 to 9:10 a.m. for intermediate and advanced swimmers and from 9:15 to 9:55 a.m. for beginners. 

The Tiger Shark Swim Team will hold its informational meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, at the Bay Minette Municipal Pool.

The above rates are for 50 guests. For each additional 20 guests add $60.00 to the above rates for extra lifeguard.

Booking your Private Party: 

  • $100.00 Non-Refundable Booking Fee is required to hold your date; full payment due two weeks prior to the party.
  • Private parties can only be scheduled during non-pool hours (after 6 p.m.)
  • Private parties must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance
  • Lifeguards will be provided for all private parties
  • Party host is responsible for cleanup after the party
  • Food and drinks only allowed in designated areas
  • Alcoholic Beverages, Smoking and Tobacco Products are prohibited at the pool and all City Parks.
  • Concessions will not be provided for private pool parties unless prior arrangements have been made.

Directions to Pool

Coming from Mobile on I-65: Take the AL-59 S exit, EXIT 34, toward Bay Minette. Stay straight to go onto HAND AVENUE/AL-287. Turn LEFT on E 12th Street. (There is a sign that says City Pool; First Baptist Church is on right hand side of road). Turn left on Bradley Avenue (you will see the pool complex) and then right into the parking lot.

Coming from US Hwy 31 S: Go NORTH on US-31 N/AL-59 N and continue to follow US-31 N/AL-59 N until you get to Bay Minette over pass; stay straight until you see Wal-Mart on your left hand side; Next to Ruby Tuesday's there is a road called WEST 9th Street, turn onto W 9th Street and go straight until you come to a RED LIGHT; turn left at the red light onto HAND AVENUE; go up three blocks and take a right onto 12th Street (First Baptist Church will be on your left hand side and there is a sign that says City Pool); go straight on 12th; take a left on Bradley Avenue (you will see the Pool Complex) and then right into the parking lot.

Universal Playground

Built in 2011, the Universal Playground was funded through a grant provided by The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs in addition to local matching funds provided by the City of Bay Minette. The park is located at the corner of Bradley Avenue and East 12st Street at the Municipal Pool Complex.

The park features typical playground equipment, but with a design that accommodates those with special needs. The play area includes zip slides, climbing walls, various slides, umbrella canopies and Americans with Disabilities Act-approved amenities. It also include double ramps to allow for multiple wheelchairs, and the groundcover is concrete with a padding overlay to make it easier for wheelchairs to maneuver through the park.
